Pharmacological Mechanism

Precursor to flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) — redox cofactors for Complex I and II of the ETC, acyl-CoA dehydrogenases (β-oxidation), glutathione reductase, and xanthine oxidase. Light-sensitive; photolyses to lumichrome.
