Helper T-Lymphocyte

A type of T-lymphocyte (lymphocyte) that plays a central role in the adaptive immune system by coordinating immune responses through the release of cytokines.

• Recognizes antigens presented by MHC class II molecules.
• Activates B-lymphocytes, macrophages, and cytotoxic T-lymphocytes.
• Produces cytokines that guide and regulate immune responses.
