Frontal Cortex

The largest lobe of the cerebral cortex, located at the front of the brain, involved in executive functions, voluntary movement, planning, decision-making, and personality.

Key Functions:

  • Executive functions (planning, problem-solving, impulse control).
  • Initiation and control of voluntary movements (primary motor area).
  • Working memory and attention.
  • Language production (Broca's area).
  • Personality and social behavior (prefrontal cortex).
