Frontal Cortex
The largest lobe of the cerebral cortex, located at the front of the brain, involved in executive functions, voluntary movement, planning, decision-making, and personality.
Key Functions:
- Executive functions (planning, problem-solving, impulse control).
- Initiation and control of voluntary movements (primary motor area).
- Working memory and attention.
- Language production (Broca's area).
- Personality and social behavior (prefrontal cortex).
