Full-spectrum hydroethanolic root extract (roots only — no leaf; no withaferin A spike). Withanolides modulate the HPA axis, lowering serum cortisol and improving GR sensitivity. Separate evidence for free-testosterone elevation in resistance-trained men (Wankhede 2015) and for stress / anxiety reduction (Chandrasekhar 2012 is the KSM-66 anchor trial). KSM-66 is the full-spectrum root preparation — a different pharmacologic profile than Sensoril (root+leaf, higher withaferin A) or Shoden (higher withanolide glycosides).
