Spermatid
A haploid male germ cell that results from the meiotic division of a secondary spermatocyte and undergoes spermiogenesis to mature into a sperm.
Key Functions:
- Undergoes spermiogenesis, a process of morphological transformation.
- Develops a head, midpiece, and tail.
- Does not divide further but matures into a functional sperm.
