G Cell
Enteroendocrine cells located in the pyloric antrum of the stomach, primarily responsible for secreting gastrin.
Key Functions:
- Produces and secretes Gastrin.
- Stimulates gastric acid secretion by parietal cells.
- Promotes growth of gastric mucosa.
- Responds to protein presence and vagal stimulation.
