A classical theory of gravitation, also known as the Einstein–Cartan–Sciama–Kibble theory, one of several alternatives to general relativity.
It is formulated in Riemann–Cartan geometry, which includes torsion, whereas general relativity uses Riemannian geometry, which does not; an additional set of equations relates torsion to spin.
