Dimeric fusion protein of the extracellular ligand-binding portion of TNFR2 (p75) linked to the Fc domain of human IgG1. Acts as a 'decoy receptor' binding both TNFα and lymphotoxin-α, neutralising them before they engage cell-surface receptors. Unlike anti-TNF mAbs, does NOT bind membrane-bound TNF effectively → ineffective in Crohn's disease (an important MOA distinction).
