Pharmacological Mechanism

15-residue fragment of a gastric juice protein. Proposed mechanisms (rat/preclinical-dominant): VEGF upregulation, nitric-oxide pathway modulation, ECM / collagen-I remodelling during tendon and enterocyte repair. Oral route appears partially active despite peptide lability — mechanism disputed.
