Sagittarius (The Archer)
Zodiacal constellation pointing the way to the centre of the Galaxy.
Core Principles & Analysis
The Galactic Centre lies in Sagittarius, where a black hole of four million solar masses is bound to the radio source Sagittarius A*.
Its brightest stars form the Teapot, one of the sky's most famous asterisms, pouring toward the Milky Way's richest star clouds.
It contains more Messier objects than any other constellation, including the Lagoon and Omega nebulae.
