Zodiacal constellation of the balance, the only inanimate zodiac sign.
Core Principles & Analysis
It is the only zodiacal constellation whose figure is not a living creature.
Its brightest stars keep the Arabic names Zubeneschamali and Zubenelgenubi — the northern and southern claw — from when these stars were the claws of Scorpius.
The Sun stands in Libra at the southward equinox, making it the constellation of the balance of day and night.
