A type of scattering resonance in which two slow or cold particles, typically atoms or molecules, couple to a two-body bound state in a more energetic scattering channel.
The relative energy of scattering channels can be tuned experimentally with an external magnetic field (via the Zeeman effect) or a laser.
This tunes the strength of the two-body interactions, a control knob used throughout quantum-gas physics.
