Pharmacological Mechanism

Cyclopyrrolone GABA-A α1-preferring positive allosteric modulator. Sedative-hypnotic; ~5h half-life so longer-acting than zolpidem. Withdrawn in US (eszopiclone is the marketed S-enantiomer); used internationally.
