Pharmacological Mechanism

Atypical antipsychotic; potent D2 / 5-HT2A antagonist. Notable for a clinically significant food effect (oral absorption ~doubles with a ≥500 kcal meal) and QT prolongation (hERG block). Oral + IM (acute agitation).
