Pharmacological Mechanism

Propyl-side-chain analog of THC. Behaves as a CB1 antagonist / low-efficacy ligand at low doses and a CB1 partial agonist at higher doses; CB2 partial agonist. Studied for appetite suppression and metabolic effects, in contrast to THC's orexigenic action.

PubChem CID 93147. Occupancy SKIP: the only verbatim CB1 Ki for Δ9-THCV (46.6 nM, Pertwee 2007 PMID:17245367) characterizes it as a CB1 ANTAGONIST in vivo — the agonist Hill-occupancy model can't carry an antagonist emax (see AUTHORING_GAPS). No verbatim human half-life.
