Placeholder for a food's total sugar content when the individual mono/disaccharide breakdown isn't reported and the species can't be assumed — e.g. a whole/mixed food whose sugar is some blend of lactose, fructose, glucose and sucrose. Hydrolysed/absorbed as its constituent monosaccharides; systemic handling is that of glucose+fructose+galactose. Prefer the specific sugar slug ([[sucrose]]/[[lactose]]/[[fructose]]/[[glucose]]) whenever the source reports it; this slug exists so authoring a savory/whole food doesn't have to mislabel its sugar as added sucrose.
