Pharmacological Mechanism

Short-acting β2-adrenergic agonist (SABA) — relaxes bronchial smooth muscle via Gs/cAMP pathway. First-line bronchodilator for acute asthma. Tachycardia + tremor at high inhaled doses; greater systemic effect with nebulized administration.
