Pharmacological Mechanism

Aminosteroid non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocker — competitive nicotinic ACh receptor antagonist at the motor endplate. Workhorse intubating muscle relaxant; rapid onset (~60 sec). Reversal with sugammadex (encapsulating agent) or neostigmine + glycopyrrolate.
