Pharmacological Mechanism

Soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulator — sensitizes sGC to NO + activates the NO-independent site. Raises cGMP → pulmonary vasodilation. Approved for PAH + chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). Contraindicated with PDE5 inhibitors + nitrates (additive hypotension).
