Non-selective β₁/β₂ antagonist. High lipophilicity → excellent CNS penetration — the basis for migraine prophylaxis, essential tremor, and performance-anxiety uses. Black 1962 Nobel-Prize-level discovery. Infantile hemangioma indication added 2014.
