19-Nortestosterone (lacks C19 methyl of testosterone) esterified with decanoic acid (C10 chain) for depot IM use. AR agonist with high anabolic:androgenic ratio (~10:1 vs testosterone's 1:1). Not aromatised to estradiol — but 5α-reduced to dihydronandrolone (DHN), a weak AR agonist, rather than potent DHT. Progestin activity explains some sexual side effects.
