Topical vasodilator — opens K-ATP channels, prolongs anagen phase + thickens follicle miniaturization in androgenetic alopecia. OTC at 2% (women) and 5% (men) topical. Oral form (originally for severe hypertension) at low dose 0.625–5 mg has gained off-label hair-loss use with stronger results than topical.
