Pharmacological Mechanism

Class IB antiarrhythmic — voltage-gated Na+ channel blocker preferentially binding the inactivated state. Used for ventricular arrhythmias + neuropathic pain (off-label) + myotonic syndromes. CYP2D6 substrate.
