17α-methylated Δ1-testosterone analog; an orally active AR agonist (the 17α-methyl resists hepatic first-pass, enabling PO use but conferring hepatotoxicity). Strongly anabolic with moderate androgenicity; aromatizes to 17α-methylestradiol (estrogenic — gynecomastia, water retention). Classic oral "kickstart" with 17αα-related liver strain and HPG suppression.
