Pharmacological Mechanism

Benzimidazole anthelmintic — same β-tubulin mechanism as albendazole. First-line for pinworm + roundworm + hookworm + whipworm. Minimally absorbed, so primarily a luminal-effect drug; few systemic side effects at standard doses.
