Pharmacological Mechanism

Flavonol with ER-α binding (weak phytoestrogen activity), Nrf2 activation, and mTOR inhibition. Gut-microbial conversion yields phloroglucinol-type metabolites. Anti-angiogenic effects reported in tumour models (VEGF pathway modulation).
