Pharmacological Mechanism

Dihydro derivative of harmine; a β-carboline and reversible MAO-A inhibitor, more sedating and "visionary" than harmine. The other principal harmala alkaloid enabling oral DMT activity in ayahuasca; also a tremorigenic agent in pharmacology research.
