Pharmacological Mechanism

High-potency typical antipsychotic — strong D2 antagonist with minimal anticholinergic / antihistamine activity. EPS + tardive dyskinesia risk; QT prolongation at high IV doses. CYP3A4 + CYP2D6 substrate. IM decanoate enables monthly depot dosing.
