Aminoglycoside — binds bacterial 30S ribosome at A-site, causes misreading + premature chain termination. Concentration-dependent killing → once-daily extended-interval dosing. Nephrotoxicity + ototoxicity (cochlear + vestibular) require trough monitoring + audiometry.
