Pharmacological Mechanism

α2δ subunit of voltage-gated Ca²⁺ channels — reduces excitatory neurotransmitter release. Used for neuropathic pain + adjunctive seizure therapy + RLS. Renally cleared; no CYP. Dose-dependent absorption (saturable LAT1) — high-dose AUC plateaus.
