Pharmacological Mechanism

Competitive GABA-A benzodiazepine-site antagonist — reverses benzodiazepine sedation in overdose / procedural over-sedation. Short half-life requires re-dosing after long-acting BZD overdose. Precipitates seizures in chronic BZD users + mixed-overdose with TCAs.
