Pharmacological Mechanism
Structural analog of pyridoxine (B6). Proposed mechanisms: membrane-stabilising antioxidant, succinate-dehydrogenase activity, mild GABA-A modulation, mild benzodiazepine-site binding. Western evidence sparse; prescribed extensively in post-Soviet countries for stroke, anxiety, alcohol withdrawal, ischemia.
