Dihydrositsirikine

Category: alkaloid

Aliases: (16R)-Dihydrositsirikine

Pharmacological Mechanism

A minor monoterpene (corynanthe-type) indole alkaloid reported in yohimbe bark (Pausinystalia johimbe) — the dihydro (vinyl-reduced) congener of sitsirikine, with an open seco-corynanthe skeleton bearing a hydroxymethyl and a methyl ester. Its pharmacology is not characterised; it is reported only as a trace bark constituent in chemical profiling, not as a dosed agent.
