Pharmacological Mechanism

R-enantiomer of lansoprazole — proton pump inhibitor with delayed dual-release formulation (peaks at 1–2h and 4–5h) that extends acid suppression vs once-released PPIs. Approved for GERD + erosive esophagitis. CYP2C19 substrate.
