Pharmacological Mechanism

Synthetic vasopressin (V2-selective) analog — antidiuretic via renal collecting-duct V2R but minimal V1 vasopressor effect. Used for central diabetes insipidus, nocturnal enuresis, von Willebrand factor release in mild type-1 vWD (acute hemostasis).
