Pharmacological Mechanism

Δ1-dehydro analog of testosterone; a moderate AR agonist, more anabolic and less androgenic than testosterone. Aromatizes (more weakly than testosterone), so some estrogenic activity is possible. Veterinary anabolic (horses/cattle); abused for slow lean-mass gain. The undecylenate depot gives a long doping-control detection window.

PK is EQUINE, not human — Soma 2007 (PMID:17348894) verbatim "elimination (t1/2e) half-lives for BL were 8.5 h and 123.0 h, respectively" after IM boldenone in horses (1.1 mg/kg); authored as the best-available long-ester depot approximation. No human boldenone PK abstract found; no verbatim AR Ki (see AUTHORING_GAPS).
