Pharmacological Mechanism

Most β₁-selective of clinical β-blockers (~75:1 β₁:β₂). One of four β-blockers with evidence base for HFrEF (along with carvedilol, metoprolol-succinate, nebivolol). Half renal / half hepatic clearance.
