Modafinil prodrug — hepatic conversion to modafinil + a sulfone metabolite. Wakefulness-promoting via the same DAT inhibition + histaminergic / orexinergic effects as modafinil. Slower onset; hepatotoxicity at chronic high doses (modafinil itself is preferred where prescription-available).
