Cells with characteristics of both muscle and epithelial cells, found in various exocrine glands (e.g., mammary glands, salivary glands), responsible for contracting to expel secretions.

- Contracts to expel secretions from glands.
- Surrounds the secretory units (acini) and ducts of exocrine glands.
- Contains actin and myosin filaments.
